ECEC East Consulting Engineering Company
A three-month contract at an engineering consultancy where I handled the full lifecycle of project documentation — WIRs, RFIs, SDs, MIRs, reports, and official letters flowing between Civil, Mechanical, and other departments.
The role was nominally "Document Controller" but the real work was building order out of chaos. I streamlined document workflows by generating daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and following up on submissions to keep contractors and project timelines in sync.
The part I'm most proud of: I developed a robust archiving system that bridged physical and digital copies with hyperlink indexing. Instead of digging through filing cabinets or nested folder structures, anyone on the project could locate a document in seconds. It sounds simple, but on a large engineering project, that kind of retrieval speed changes how people work.
I also wrote a Python script to automate PDF processing tasks that came up repeatedly in the document control workflow.
